The "split" was removed from coupe rear windows to improve visibility, and some of 1963's styling details, including the simulated air vents in the hood and bright instrument trim, were deleted. Optional knock-off wheels were definitely delivered with 1964 Corvettes to retail customers. Optional leather seating was available in all colors. Power output of the fuel-injected V8 reached 375-hp. The sintered metallic brakes of 1963's Z06 package were offered separately as RPO J56 and 29 sets were included on 1964 s. RPO N03, the 36-gallon fuel tank, saw factory installation on 38 cars. Riverside Red was the best selling exterior at 5,274. Saddle Tan, at 1,765, was the rarest. Overall sales continued to improve, climbing to 22,229 and weighted 63% (13,925) toward the convertible body style.
